Birthday Parties at SCI
Celebrate like a scientist on your next birthday at the Science Center of Iowa!
SCI Birthday Parties Include:
- SCI admission for up to 30 attendees (pricing depends on package size — all adults and children are included in attendee count), where your guests will have access to all exhibits and programs until close at 4:00 PM. They can explore Iowa's native habitats in What On Earth?, unleash their inner builder in Brick by Brickand so much more!
- 90 minutes in a private party space to enjoy opening presents, having treats and other birthday fun
- Fully decorated party space including table cloths in SCI colors (purple/lime green/white), tableware (plates, cups, napkins and forks) and science themed table decorations
- Reserved seating in the Adventure Theater for a public live science program and a special birthday "shout out" by the presenter at the end of your 90-minutes in the party room
- Three free parking passes to the SCI parking ramp
- A special gift from SCI for the birthday child
Other Details:
- SCI Birthday Parties are recommended for children turning ages 6–12 years old.
- No candles, helium balloons, glitter or tape on walls.
- Due to limited booking opportunities, please submit a request 4–6 weeks in advance.
Planning Your Party
SCI Birthday Parties are recommended for children ages 6–12 and may be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays:
- Saturdays at 9:30–11:30 am or 1:00–3:00 pm
- Sundays at 1:00–3:00 pm
Party pricing includes amenities listed above, including SCI admission for up to 30 attendees.
Pricing starts at:
- SCI Member: $300
- Non-member: $330
