  • Dreams of flying, model aircraft and a young girl and her grandfather come together in this multimedia planetarium show about the science of aeronautics! Program and location subject to change.

  • Here’s your chance to help a WHO-HD Channel 13 meteorologist give today’s live forecast as you learn about weather! Subject to change due to severe weather or technical difficulties.

  • Our Why The Sky? exhibit on the Upper Level will be closed April 17-20 as we finalize upgrades made possible by the Iowa Space Grant Consortium. The exhibit will open to the public on Saturday, April 21. The Star Theater planetarium is not affected by this closure.

  • Meet and get the chance to touch some of SCI’s resident reptiles and amphibians.

  • Have you ever wondered what Snippy the Snapping Turtle eats? Come check out a feeding demonstration of one of SCI’s most ravenous reptiles! The snapping turtle feeding may be too intense for some visitors.

  • Tour the Seven Wonders of the World as well as some of the greatest wonders of our universe and beyond! Narrated by Sean Bean. Program and location subject to change.

  • Come check out the colorful, ooey-gooey and other fun experiments we'll mix up.  Program and location subject to change.
