Birthday Parties at SCI
Celebrate like a scientist on your next birthday at the Science Center of Iowa!
SCI Birthday Parties include:
- SCI admission for up to 30 attendees (including birthday child and two adults), where your guests can explore Iowa's native habitats in What On Earth?, unleash their inner builder in Brick by Brick and more!
- 90 minutes in a private party room to enjoy opening presents, having treats and other birthday fun
- Basic decorations: table cloths provided in SCI colors (purple/lime green/white) and tableware
- Prime seating in a public live science program
- Three free parking passes to the SCI parking ramp
- A small gift from SCI
Planning Your Party
SCI Birthday Parties are recommended for children ages 6 to 12 and may be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays:
- Saturdays at 9:30-11:30 am or 1:30-3:30 pm
- Sundays at 12:30-2:30 pm
Party pricing includes amenities listed above, including SCI admission for up to 30 attendees.
Pricing starts at:
- SCI Member: $275
- Non-member: $300

SCI Birthday Parties are easy to plan and unforgettable for guests. To book your birthday party, contact the SCI Sales Office at 515-274-6868 ext. 211 or email sales@sciowa.org.
Please Note:
- SCI Birthday Parties are recommended for children turning ages 6 to 12.
- No candles, helium balloons or tape on walls.
- Due to limited booking opportunities, please submit a request 4–6 weeks in advance.
