Learning doesn't stop when school takes a break! At the Science Center of Iowa, campers can explore, invent, experiment, and discover through hands-on STEM experiences all year long.

When school is out, SCI Camp is in!
School's Out @ SCI Day Camps are full-day STEM adventures for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, offered on many days when Des Moines Public Schools are not in session. From engineering challenges and creative maker projects to exhibit exploration and hands-on science experiments, every camp is designed to spark curiosity and inspire confidence.
Camp Details:
- 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Kindergarten–5th Grade
- $65 for SCI Members
- $75 for Non-Members
- Campers should bring a sack lunch.
- An annual Health & Consent Form is required.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
After May 1, the Science Center of Iowa cannot accommodate refunds or cancellations without a doctor’s note. An administrative fee will be assessed for all cancellations.
