  • On July 16, 1969, at 9:32 am, Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy.

    Stop by SCI to join in a worldwide celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch. Create your own straw rocket and launch it at SCI during the main rocket launch at 9:32 am and throughout the day at 11:32 am, 1:32 pm and 3:32 pm.

  • Our youngest visitors can bring their imaginations as an SCI Programs Team member reads under the starry skies.

  • Try skills ranging from sewing to coding – and everything in between! Drop-in activities are held in the Makers Studio every Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am - noon. Each week has a different theme!

    This week, learn the basics of 3D printing.

    Maker Mornings are included with general admission to SCI.

  • Investigate the world of electrons and electricity for a hair-raising experience!

  • Dreams of flying, model aircraft and a young girl and her grandfather come together in this multimedia planetarium show about the science of aeronautics! Program and location subject to change.

  • Here’s your chance to help a WHO-HD Channel 13 meteorologist give today’s live forecast as you learn about weather! Subject to change due to severe weather or technical difficulties.

  • Use tools and materials to create a project based on the weekly theme.

    This week, transform objects from the digital world into the physical world using 3D printing. 

    Workshops are open to all ages, but parent supervision is required for children under 13. Cost: $5 per person.

  • Come check out the colorful, ooey-gooey and other fun experiments we'll mix up.  Program and location subject to change.

  • Meet and get the chance to touch some of SCI’s resident reptiles and amphibians.

  • Locate constellations and planets, and hear myths of the night sky in this live planetarium program. Program and location subject to change.
